When you connect your Instagram Business or Creator account, we collect:

- Instagram username and business account ID
- Instagram profile picture
- Full name and bio (if available)
- Instagram account type (Business or Creator)
- Follower, following, and media counts
Instagram Direct Messages (when you enable AI agent features):
- Message content (text, images, attachments)
- Message timestamps
- Sender and recipient Instagram IDs
- Conversation history
- Message metadata (read status, delivery status)
Instagram Comments (when you enable comment trigger features):
- Comment text and comment IDs
- Commenter Instagram username and ID
- Comment timestamps
- Post/media IDs where comments appear
Authentication Data:

Why We Collect This Data:
- To enable our AI agent to respond to guestlist requests in Instagram DMs
- To automatically send private replies when users comment with keywords
- To create and manage guestlist entries from Instagram interactions
- To provide event information through Instagram messaging
- To link Instagram users to their Probe guestlist entries
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
When you use our platform, we automatically collect:
- Device information and identifiers
- Usage data and interaction metrics
- Location data (with your permission)
- Event attendance and engagement statistics
- "Fire Rating" participation and voting data
- Instagram message delivery and read receipts
3. How We Use Your Information
3.1 Instagram Integration Features
AI Agent in Direct Messages:
- Read Instagram DMs sent to your business account
- Analyze message content to understand guestlist requests
- Respond to users with event information and availability
- Create guestlist entries based on user requests
- Send confirmation messages about guestlist status
- Maintain conversation context for multi-message interactions
Instagram Comment Triggers:
- Monitor comments on your Instagram posts for trigger keywords
- Send automated private reply messages when keywords are detected
- Track trigger activation analytics
- Deliver event information via private messages
Data Processing:
- We use AI (OpenAI GPT-5) to process Instagram messages and generate responses
- Message content is analyzed to extract guestlist requests, guest counts, and event preferences
- Conversation history is stored to maintain context across multiple messages
- All Instagram interactions are logged for quality assurance and compliance
4. Instagram-Specific Data Practices
4.1 Permissions We Request
instagram_business_basic:
- View your business profile information
- Access your media posts
- Connect your Instagram business account
instagram_business_manage_messages:
- Read direct messages sent to your business account
- Send messages on your behalf (AI agent responses)
- Manage message threads and conversations
instagram_business_manage_comments:
- Read comments on your posts
- Send private replies to comments (comment triggers)
- Access comment metadata
4.2 How We Use Instagram Data
User-Initiated Only:
- We ONLY respond to Instagram DMs that users send first
- We ONLY send private replies when users comment with trigger keywords
- We DO NOT send unsolicited messages
- We DO NOT post public comments on your behalf
Transactional Messages Only:
- All automated Instagram messages are transactional (guestlist confirmations, event info)
- We DO NOT send promotional or marketing content via Instagram
- Messages are relevant to user's explicit requests
Rate Limits:
- We respect Instagram's rate limits (maximum 100 DMs per day per account)
- Rate limiting is enforced to prevent spam
- All Instagram API calls are logged and monitored
5. Information Sharing
5.1 Third-Party Services
Meta/Instagram:
- We access your Instagram data through Meta's official Instagram Graph API
- Subject to Meta's Platform Terms
- Subject to Instagram API Terms
- Instagram data is accessed only with your explicit permission
- We do NOT share your Instagram messages or data with third parties
OpenAI:
- We use OpenAI's GPT-5 to power our AI agent
- Instagram message content is sent to OpenAI for processing
- Message content is not used to train OpenAI models (per API Terms)
- Conversation context is maintained for coherent responses
Other Services:
- Stripe (payment processing - PCI-DSS compliant)
- AWS/Digital Ocean (cloud hosting and storage)
- Cloudflare (image hosting and CDN)
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

10. Instagram Account Disconnection
To disconnect your Instagram account:
- Open Probe app → Settings → Instagram
- Tap "Disconnect Instagram"
- Confirm disconnection
What happens when you disconnect:
- ✓ Access tokens deleted immediately
- ✓ AI agent stops processing new DMs
- ✓ Comment triggers deactivated
- ✓ No new Instagram data collected
- ✓ Existing guestlist entries remain (event records)
- ✓ Message history retained for 90 days (can request immediate deletion)
To revoke permissions on Instagram's side:
- Open Instagram app → Settings → Security → Apps and Websites
- Find "Probe" in Active list
- Tap "Remove"

15. Age Restrictions
Our platform is intended for users who are of legal age to enter nightclubs in their jurisdiction (typically 19+ or 21+ depending on location). We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the applicable legal age.
Instagram Integration: Only available for business accounts, which require users to be at least 18 years old per Instagram's terms.
